Michael A. Mosberg

Founding Partner

Michael Mosberg, a founding partner of MSSG, represents high-net-worth individuals in all areas of family and matrimonial law. With decades of experience representing executives, entrepreneurs, business owners, and their spouses, Michael understands the unique challenges of high-stakes divorce cases, particularly so in matters involving complicated valuation and division issues, as well as intricate business interests, which require heightened financial sophistication.

Employing a cross-disciplinary approach, he brings together a network—built over years of collaboration and bar leadership roles—of professionals ranging from financial, estate, public relations, and other experts and legal professionals, assembling the right team for each matter. He strives to arrive at private and amicable resolutions whenever possible but is equally comfortable in the courtroom when settlement proves unattainable.

Having built a reputation as a respected thought leader in the field of family law, Michael, an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers certified mediator, is sought after and retained by highly-regarded law firms to mediate or serve as an expert or special master in complex matrimonial matters.

Michael is a frequent lecturer and author on family law and trial practice. He has published numerous articles and book chapters offering guidance and practical insights on matrimonial law issues. Michael has spoken at events sponsored by the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (NY Chapter), the Alabama State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, and the Legal Education Institute.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and Brooklyn Law School, Michael was a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia M. Morgan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
