The Benefits Of Birdnesting After Divorce

Founding partner Sherri Sharma participated in the panel discussion on the September 7th edition of NPR’s 1A podcast about “nesting” during or after a divorce.

“Nesting” is when children of divorcing or divorced parents stay in their family home, but their parents cycle in and out. There’s been a lot of talk recently about whether nesting is better for divorcing parents and their kids than the kids moving from home to home.

Putting aside the question of whether it’s better, there are many factors for parents to consider before deciding to nest. We covered some of those considerations on the show.
