Biography

Ali has practiced matrimonial law exclusively since graduating from New York Law School in 2010. Her passion for family law was ignited during law school, when she had the opportunity to intern with two matrimonial law firms in Manhattan. Today, Ali’s practice focuses on all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including custody and access; prenuptial, postnuptial and separation agreements; and equitable distribution, spousal maintenance and child support issues.  Ali frequently works with clients who wish to mediate their matters outside of Court, coaching them throughout the process. Above all, Ali is a zealous and skilled advocate for all her clients.

Prior to becoming a partner at MSSG, Ali was a partner at one of Manhattan’s premiere boutique matrimonial law firms, where she practiced for more than five years. She gained significant experience in negotiating custody and financial settlements, as well as conducting complicated financial trials. In an earlier role at another prestigious firm, Ali became well versed in all aspects of complex, high net worth matrimonial litigation.

Ali graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in communication and rhetorical science.  Ali’s background in communication studies has enabled her to empathize with clients, form close relationships with them and represent their positions as effectively as possible.

Ali has appeared as a legal commentator on CourtTV and has been selected by her peers as a rising star for Super Lawyers for 2018 through 2023.  Ali resides in Gramercy Park with her husband.
